"EDI Women's History Month fundraiser!"
March is national Women’s History Month. With that in mind, the EDI Community Services Committee is launching a supplies drive and fundraising effort to address period poverty. All proceeds and supplies will go directly to our partner in this drive, the Milwaukee Diaper Mission (MDM).
Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual products, hygiene facilities, and education. The need is documented and it is real. Nationally, millions of individuals struggle to afford period products, and many report having to miss work or school as a result. Because menstrual products are a necessity, lack of access creates barriers to health, dignity, and participation in daily life.
Let's honor the great women who have made a mark in history, as well as those who have helped raise, guide, encourage or befriend each of us along our way. Let's donate to give every young girl and every woman in Milwaukee a chance to learn, grow and thrive.
