Let's make a real difference together!

Four years ago, my heart broke when I learned that 1 in 3 families struggled to afford diapers for their little ones. As a mother of two young boys, I couldn't imagine the stress and hardship of not having enough diapers to keep them clean and healthy. But what shocked me even more was discovering that Milwaukee didn't have a basic needs bank to support families in need—something that many major cities across America already had. I knew right then that we needed to create this vital resource for our community.

Fast forward to today, and the situation has become even more urgent. Now, 1 in 2 families in our community lack the resources to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy. This statistic is not just a number—it’s a call to action. At Milwaukee Diaper Mission, we work hand-in-hand with local social service agencies to distribute both disposable and reusable diapers, as well as period supplies, to the families who need them most. Thanks to the unwavering support of our partners, sponsors, and volunteers, we’re able to provide these essential items at no cost to agencies or families.

The BIG Give Back is MDM's largest fundraiser of the year, allowing us to support thousands of families each month.
